Car hits Lorry-Tragedy struck in the early hours of Tuesday as a group of five young individuals met with a fatal accident on the expansive six-lane National Highway Anakapalli-Anandapuram at Pendurthi. The incident occurred when the car they were traveling in collided with a moving lorry, leaving one person dead and four others severely injured.
The victim, identified as Dommeti Surya Bhagavan, aged 27, was behind the wheel at the time of the accident and tragically lost his life on the spot. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in significant injuries to the other occupants of the car. Revu Pavan Kumar (27), Geddam Suresh (18), U Raj Kumar (28), and Velangi Sai Krishna (28) sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Upon inspecting the scene, law enforcement officials discovered empty liquor bottles within the car. This led them to suspect that the occupants might have been driving under the influence of alcohol, potentially contributing to the tragic accident.
