A Vizag wine shop was torched after workers refused to sell a man liquor bottle

In a shocking incident at Vizag, a man named G Madhu set fire to a government wine shop near Kommadi Junction. This happened because the workers at the shop told him that the brand of liquor he wanted was not available. The incident took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

According to the police, Madhu was drunk when he went to the wine shop. When he couldn’t get the brand he wanted, he got angry and argued with the workers. In a fit of rage, he used the petrol from his two-wheeler, poured it on the shop, and set it on fire. The workers, scared by the fire, quickly ran out of the shop.

Local people alerted the police, who arrived at the scene to control the situation. The police estimated that liquor bottles worth two lakhs were destroyed in the fire. Additionally, a computer and printer were also damaged. The Visakhapatnam Police arrested Madhu for setting fire to the wine shop in Kommadi and filed a case against him.
