Kumaraswamy, the organizer of the Cow-Based Natural Farmers Association, announced the commencement of the Visakha Organic Mela on Thursday at the Andhra University Engineering College Grounds. The announcement was made during a press conference held on Wednesday at the AU ground. State Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath and Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari are scheduled to inaugurate the Organic Mela at 10 am on Thursday.
The four-day fair aims to provide a platform for farmers to directly sell their crops and products, with 161 stalls being set up for this purpose. Various events are scheduled throughout the fair, including a conference with organic farming farmers on the 14th, a graduate farmers’ annual conference on the 15th, an organic stores chamber meet on the 16th, and a conference with sugarcane farmers on the 17th.
The premises will feature organic food stalls, sugarcane gardens, and a nursery for those interested in plant cultivation.
