This morning, there was a big incident involving the arrest of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to his alleged involvement in a scam related to skill development. This surprising event caused protests to erupt all over the state, and as a result, the government imposed restrictions on TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh.

Notably, TDP MLA and former AP Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao was also arrested in connection with this case, along with Chandrababu Naidu. Ganta Srinivasa Rao defended Chandrababu Naidu, stating that tarnishing the reputation of such a senior and respected politician was a disgrace. He firmly believed that Chandrababu Naidu’s image as a former Chief Minister would not be tarnished by these allegations. Ganta Srinivasa Rao was confident that Chandrababu Naidu, who had never engaged in vindictive politics, would be cleared of any wrongdoing.

In response to these arrests, MP Kesineni Nani wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of India, urging intervention in the matter. Furthermore, other TDP leaders, including Ayyanapatrudu and Gana Babu, were also taken into custody.

Following Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in the skill development scam case, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) suspended its services across the state until further notice. Security pickets were set up at the residences of TDP leaders to prevent any further escalation of political tensions.

Prominent political figures like Hindupur MLA Balakrishna, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, and BJP AP head Daggubati Purandeswari expressed their condemnation of these arrests. They voiced their concerns and disapproval regarding the situation.
