Jagadamba Junction in Visakhapatnam, a famous spot, is getting a special addition – a clock tower! This unique project will cost around 2.8 crores and will stand tall at 60 feet, with clocks on all four sides. They’re even planning to put a lovely fountain near the tower to make it look more beautiful.
The clock tower at Jagadamba is part of a bigger plan by the city authorities to make Visakhapatnam look nicer. They’re working on fixing up roads and making the city more attractive. They’ve also been busy repairing and expanding roads across the city before the capital shift on Vijaya Dasami. Another place they’re sprucing up is the four-road junction near Railway New Colony on the Railway Station-Thatichetlapalem route. They’re making it look great under the watchful eye of GVMC Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma.
Visakhapatnam already has other clock towers in places like KGH, Andhra University, and Bheemili. There used to be one at Kurupam Market in the One-Town area, but it’s not there anymore because the city authorities decided to remove it.
