The Indian Institute of Management in Visakhapatnam recently organized a week-long event called “Vigilance Awareness Week” in collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). The goal was to bring people together to fight against corruption and raise awareness about the problem of corruption. HPCL officials emphasized the importance of using technology and maintaining transparency to eliminate corruption. They also mentioned that our behavior and perceptions play a crucial role in bringing positive values to our lives.
This week of awareness coincided with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary and included various programs to inform regular people and students about the importance of a corruption-free environment. HPCL’s Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Srinivas, gave a presentation on ethics and governance in the workplace. The student academic council at the institute organized events for the students during this awareness week.
The organizers thanked HPCL and all those who participated in making Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 a success. They also emphasized their commitment to promoting a culture of integrity and vigilance at IIMV.
