Hanumanthwaka to Get Rs. 40 Crore Flyover, Confirms YSRCP Regional Coordinator

Arilova: YV Subbareddy, the YSRCP Regional Coordinator, announced that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will soon inaugurate the construction of a flyover at the Hanumanthwaka intersection, set to cost Rs. 40 crore. He disclosed this information during his presence as the chief guest at the two-day Credai Expo at Gadiraju Palace in MVP Colony on Sunday. Subbareddy toured the real estate stalls at the expo, expressing aspirations for numerous flyovers from Hanumanthwaka to the NAD intersection in Visakhapatnam.

Highlighting the urgency for immediate traffic control measures, Subbareddy emphasized that the current focus is on building the Hanumanthwaka flyover, backed by complete cooperation from the state government. Additionally, he informed about bringing the construction of Parlal Road at RK Beach to the Chief Minister’s attention, envisioning Visakhapatnam as a thriving tourism destination.

Subbareddy stressed the crucial role of builders in making Visakhapatnam a smart city, calling for their cooperation. GVMC Commissioner Saikanth Verma echoed this sentiment, emphasizing efforts to transform Visakhapatnam into a green city. He cited the city’s global ranking as the second greenest city worldwide, boasting 35 percent greenery, trailing behind Singapore with 45 percent green coverage.

Verma urged builders and citizens to work together to claim the top spot. He advocated for layouts and buildings to maintain 50 percent green coverage, suggesting greenery on apartment terraces as well. Verma highlighted the city’s infrastructure, including wide roads, parks, children’s play areas, swimming pools, and various other facilities contributing to its allure.

Among those present at the event were MP MVV Satyanarayana, Nedcap Chairman KK Raju, YSRCP leader GV, and representatives from Credai – Dharmendra Verma, Rajesh Srinivas, Ashok, and others.

The impending construction of the Hanumanthwaka flyover stands as a crucial step in addressing traffic congestion, with the vision to enhance Visakhapatnam’s infrastructure and elevate its status as a tourist hotspot.
