Visakhapatnam – In a bid to strengthen its voluntary force, the Visakhapatnam Police Commissionerate has announced the opening of applications for 14 Home Guard voluntary service jobs under B Category, focusing on Technical and other Trades. This recruitment drive offers an opportunity for eligible candidates who are natives of Visakhapatnam City to contribute to the city’s security and well-being.
To be considered for the Home Guard voluntary service positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Native of Visakhapatnam City:
- Applicants must be natives of Visakhapatnam City to be eligible for these positions.
- Age Range:
- Candidates should be between 21 and 50 years of age to apply.
- Educational Qualifications:
- A Degree or equivalent qualification is required for eligibility.
- Driving License:
- Candidates must possess a valid LMV/HMV driving license with relevant driving experience.
- Character and Antecedents:
- Satisfactory character and antecedents are essential for consideration.
- Medical Fitness:
- Applicants should be medically fit to fulfill the duties associated with the role.
- Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such as BCA/MBA/BSc (Computers)/B.Tech (Computers) or any IT skills.

Applicants should note that practical tests on IT Skills and Driving skills will be conducted at Police Stadium, Suryabagh, Visakhapatnam City. The selection process includes a 800 Meters run, with a time limit of 200 seconds for men and 300 seconds for women.

- Certificate verification and examination will be conducted on 3rd and 4th February.
Applicants are required to bring original or certified Xerox copies of certificates, including educational qualifications, caste, Light/Heavy Motor Vehicle License, computer qualification certificates, and the Visakhapatnam Nativity Certificate, during the scrutiny of applications.
