In a move to ensure fair and safe elections, new rules have been implemented regarding political rallies conducted by political parties on roads.These regulations aim to prevent disturbances caused by these rallies and ensure that necessary permissions are obtained from relevant authorities.To minimize inconvenience to the general public and maintain order, roads cannot be blocked extensively for these events.

General Election Rules:

  • Political parties must adhere to proper conduct on public roads where they conduct rallies.
  • Permission must not be obtained improperly from relevant authorities.
  • Roads should not be extended beyond a reasonable limit without causing inconvenience to the general public.
  • Complete prohibition of selling or bursting fireworks.
  • Children and uniformed students should not participate in road rallies.
  • Complete prohibition of animal demonstrations.
  • Only on designated days and non-cancelled routes should processions be conducted.
  • Courts, hospitals, trauma centers, blood banks, and highly sensitive areas should be managed according to court orders and laws.
