Priyanka Dandi Pushes for GVL's Exit from Rajya Sabha

Visakhapatnam: Priyanka Dandi, a prominent leader of the District Congress, has announced plans to organize a protest outside the residence of BJP Rajya Sabha MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao in Visakhapatnam. The move comes as a part of the ongoing agitation against the privatization of the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).

Priyanka Dandi stated that if Narasimha Rao resigns from his Rajya Sabha position, it would send a strong message to the central government regarding public opposition to the privatization of RINL. She further emphasized that Narasimha Rao, who aims to contest the Vizag Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming elections, should take accountability by resigning from his MP post and exerting pressure on the central government to halt the privatization process of RINL.

Expressing dissatisfaction with Narasimha Rao’s handling of the RINL privatization issue, Priyanka accused him of misleading the public with false statements. She highlighted the prolonged struggle of RINL workers, spanning 1080 days, without a satisfactory response from the central government.

In addition to addressing the RINL privatization issue, Priyanka Dandi welcomed the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple but criticized the BJP government for its approach towards privatizing public sector units.

The announcement of the protest outside Narasimha Rao’s residence underscores the escalating tensions surrounding the RINL privatization issue, with the District Congress actively opposing the move and seeking to hold elected representatives accountable for their stance on the matter.
