Swiss Tourist Attacked by a local rowdy at Yarada Beach, Visakhapatnam

In an unfortunate incident at Yarada Beach in Visakhapatnam, a 24-year-old tourist from Switzerland, Noah Ellis, became the target of an attack by unidentified hooligans on Wednesday. Ellis, who had come to Yarada to explore suitable locations for Paragliding competitions, found himself in a distressing situation.

According to the New Port Police, Ellis was using his mobile phone to capture images of potential Paragliding spots along Yarada Beach when a group of unknown miscreants approached him. The hooligans demanded money from the tourist, and when Ellis refused, the situation escalated quickly. The attackers not only assaulted him but also bit him on the shoulder, leaving him injured. In the course of the assault, they snatched away his mobile phone.

Following the altercation, the assailants fled the scene, and Ellis, shaken by the incident, promptly reported the incident to the New Port Police. Law enforcement has registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

New Port Circle Inspector Naidu stated, “In response to this incident, a special team has been formed to track down the criminals responsible for the attack on Noah Ellis.” The police are committed to ensuring the safety of tourists and residents alike, and measures are being taken to bring the culprits to justice.
