Following numerous court sessions and delays, the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) finally made a decision about Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s plea for bail in the skill development scam case. The court’s ruling means CBN doesn’t have to stay at the Rajahmundry Central Jail anymore as he has been granted regular bail. Currently, he was on interim bail before this decision.

Justice T Mallikarjuna Rao listened to the arguments presented by lawyers Siddarth Luthra and Dammalapati Srinivas on 17th November and reserved the judgment for today. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested on 9th September 2023 in Nandyal and was held at the Rajahmundry Central Jail for 53 days. He was allowed interim bail on 31st October due to medical reasons. As per the terms, Naidu had to return to the jail on 28th November after attending medical checkups and treatments. The High Court also forbade the former chief minister from participating in public meetings or tours while on interim bail.
