Visakhapatnam Artist Uses Millets to Portray Ayodhya Ram Temple

A painter from Visakhapatnam, Moka Vijaykumar, recently crafted an image of the Ayodhya Ram Temple and Lord Sri Ramachandra in celebration of the temple’s consecration. What makes this artwork unique is that it was created using millets, and Vijaykumar dedicated over eight hours a day for nearly a week to complete it.

2023 has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Millets, and Vijaykumar is using his art to raise awareness about the importance of millets. Beyond just creating beautiful pieces, he is incorporating a social message into his work. His various souvenirs depicting different celebrations, festivals, and special days serve as a means to spread awareness about millets and their significance.
