Speaking to reporters, the MLA highlighted his distress over the increase in violent incidents in the region over the past five years, including murders and illegal activities like ganja smuggling. He emphasized that such threats and abusive behavior were previously unheard of in Visakhapatnam.

Ramakrishna Babu noted that based on the accent of the callers, they were likely not from north Andhra Pradesh. Despite the unsettling situation, he expressed confidence in the commissioner’s assurance of taking appropriate action in response to the threats.

Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, who has won the last three elections and has been nominated as the TDP candidate for the upcoming fourth term, remains committed to serving his constituents despite the challenges posed by these threats to his safety.
