In Visakhapatnam city, temples are getting ready for special celebrations to mark the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday, January 22. Devotees of Lord Rama have exciting plans, including distributing ‘panakam’ (a traditional beverage) and organizing ‘annasantarpana’ (feeding the poor) at the Ram temples located at ITI Junction in Kancharapalem.
The devotees are also organizing a procession called Sri Rama Radhayatra, starting from Kalimatha Temple on the Beach and ending at Park Hotel on Sunday evening, just before the temple inauguration in Ayodhya. During the Yatra, people will sing bhajans and perform ‘kolatam’ amidst the festivities. Additionally, special prayers will be held at Sri Ashta Lakshmi Temple in Kommadi and other temples in Visakhapatnam to mark the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The idol of Lord Rama at the temple will be adorned with special decorations, and devotees will chant ‘Visishta parayana.’
It’s a joyous occasion for devotees as they come together to celebrate and participate in various activities to mark this significant event.
