Visakhapatnam, a city in India, recently finalized its voter list, revealing that it has a total of 1,942,593 voters. Among them, 960,101 are men, 982,380 are women, and 1,123 identify as transgender. The joint collector, K. Viswanathan, released this information, highlighting that the Bheemili Assembly constituency has the highest number of voters (351,452), while the Visakhapatnam West Assembly constituency has the lowest (206,943).

The voter list was officially released in the presence of representatives from various political parties. The revision process concluded on January 12. In the Visakhapatnam East segment, there are 276,523 voters, including 135,516 men, 140,990 women, and 17 transgender persons. Visakhapatnam South has 210,121 voters, with 103,334 men, 106,764 women, and 33 transgender persons. Visakhapatnam North has 274,760 voters, comprising 135,664 men, 139,078 women, and 18 transgender persons. Gajuwaka assembly constituency boasts 323,671 voters, with 162,434 men, 161,225 women, and 12 transgender persons.

The joint collector mentioned that the draft voter list was initially released in October of the previous year. In the final list, 164,048 new voters were enrolled, while 137,137 names were removed due to factors like death, duplicate entries, or migration to other areas. The final list also added 26,911 new names, with 9,090 being men, 17,842 women, and 21 transgender persons. Additionally, 3,636 service voters were added, including 3,501 men and 135 women.
